Tucked in the Irish Channel, this Victorian side-hall shotgun home had been neglected for decades.
Even in its most deplorable state, the historic charm remained clear. Existing fireplace mantles, solid pine flooring, solid wood doors and operable transoms were enough for the new homeowners to fall in love with it. Archetype programmed the spaces for modern living. The Kitchen was relocated to the heart of the home with adjoining Dining Room and Den spaces. The rear bedroom reorganized with a vestibule for privacy and a Powder Room tucked under the new stairs. The new stairwell leads to a camel-back addition featuring a new Primary Suite and Bedroom with adjoining bathroom and closet. Custom cabinets designed by Archetype are featured throughout.
